Required every year as outlined in DC's Addressing Dyslexia and Other Reading Difficulties Amendment Act of 2020
This task is intended to help DC Prep staff understand the characteristics and identification of dyslexia, gain awareness about characteristics and indicators of dyslexia and reading difficulties, learn about universal screening tools, and learn the components of Structured Literacy and evidence-based practices for supporting students with dyslexia and other reading difficulties.
All District of Columbia Public Schools and Public Charter Schools employees are required to complete this training annually.

PS/PK/K should select the "New for 2026: Dyslexia Awareness for Pre-Kindergarten & Kindergarten Educators" Module (#12692)
1st-5th should select the "New for 2026: Dyslexia Awareness for Educators of Grades 1-5" Module (#12690)
6th-8th should select the "New for 2026: Dyslexia Awareness for Adolescent to Adult Educators" Module (#12689)
Click "Register" and "Go to Course"

You do not need to complete the Training Module Tracking Form for this module. OSSE will report completion to DC Prep.
Faculty and Campus leaders who work with multiple grades do not need to complete multiple modules. They may complete one of the modules, and they may choose the module
